Taylor Lane Timber Frame’s latest Construction Forum brought together over 30 sub-contractor timber frame erection businesses from across England and Wales for a day of insight, collaboration and discussion. The annual event provided a platform to share best practices, business updates and strengthen relationships within the timber frame community.
Taylor Lane’s Health, Safety and Environment Manager presented alongside members of the construction team, including office and site-based personnel. Presentations focussed on three key areas – health & safety, operations and quality.
The health & safety session covered everything from new erection risk assessment and method statements (RAMS) and nail gun training, to reporting of incidents and compliance with Taylor Lane’s supervisor’s standard document.
Construction Director, Liam Hale and Senior Contracts Manager, George Eynon presented important operational updates and shared essential information regarding material and delivery management. Liam was later joined by Construction Manager, Simon Jones to discuss quality, most notably the NHBC RI (reportable item) review.
A Q&A session followed with questions posed to Taylor Lane staff from across the business, including Managing Director, Jon Lane; Sales & Marketing Director, Blane Pannell; Senior Design Manager, Joss Davies-Wood; and members from the production, construction and contracts teams.
Central to the day was the opportunity to meet with Taylor Lane MD, Jon Lane and to discuss changes and achievements in 2025 and plans for 2026.
Commenting on the successful event, Liam Hale, Construction Director, Taylor Lane Timber Frame, said:
“Sub-contractors are an important part of our business model, and we value these relationships. We want them to succeed and be the very best at what they do. That’s why events such as this are so important as they allow us to meet, share ideas, and give vital updates away from site. Our sub-contractors leave empowered, able to make informed decisions and take safer, more efficient action on site. The impact of which is far-reaching – ultimately, we all benefit – everyone from follow-on trades to the residents who get to live in well-built, high quality timber frame homes.”
The Taylor Lane Timber Frame Construction Forum is part of the company’s commitment to continuous improvement – of people, product and processes.
