Last night, 8 people from Herefordshire and Worcestershire were recognised for their contributions to society at the BBC Make a Difference awards.
One of these people was Taylor Lane founder and MD, Colin Taylor!
Colin received the title of ‘Best Neighbour’ for all of his work helping the people of his street when their houses flooded, even though his own home was under water.
He has also since helped by encouraging his neighbours to install flood defences in their homes and by lobbying the Environment Agency.
Mr Taylor told BBC Hereford and Worcester after his nomination:
“If you can help people, the world is a better place. If they’re safe, I’m happy.”
Well done Colin – you really do make a difference!
