Congratulations to Taylor Lane Timber Frame’s Steel Factory Foreman, Alex Playle; Roof Design Team Leader, Jak Pond, and Assistant Factory Manager, Michael Hurley who have all been awarded the ILM Level 3 Award after successfully completing the Leadership and Management course provided by Hoople Training.

Capable and confident

All three employees are new to these positions, and after similar achievements with five production managers, earlier this summer, Taylor Lane recognised that Alex, Jak and Michael would all benefit from the course.  Senior Design Manager, Joss Davies-Wood, explains:

“A key objective of the training was to build confidence and equip the managers with practical tools and frameworks to help them feel more prepared, capable and confident when taking on responsibilities for people, tasks and performance.   Jak had also showed an interest in personal development, and we are pleased to support him in this.”

Manage and lead people more effectively

The course has given the employees the essential skills and confidence they need to manage and lead people effectively.  It helps them make better decisions, communicate clearly and lead their teams with professionalism and consistency – something which Michael appreciates:

“The ILM Level 3 course has helped me become a more effective assistant manager by improving my communication, delegation, and team leadership skills on the shop floor.  I’ve learned how to allocate tasks based on skills, motivate staff during busy production periods and handle conflict more confidently.  It has also strengthened my ability to plan workloads, support safe working practices and maintain high production standards.  I am more organised, proactive, and more supportive in managing daily operations.”
